Banana Oat Protein Muffins zero flour or glucose added, 100 calories

Ahhhhh We live for the weekends, which last one was just thus lovely and relaxing. I mean who doesn’t love laying in bed an extra half hour on Sunday mornings? These days, it’s an extravagance.
Oh well. On to more exciting issues…
Bananas are my overall beloved! They pack potassium and digestible (good-for-you) carbs. Therefore, what will this mean? Well, they give your body fuel and just about make one feel like a rock star. However, not the type of rock stars that drugs.
In all seriousness, I love baking with bananas because they add moisture, act as a binder, and have enough flavor where you don’t have to add additional sugar.
These banana muffins are my fresh favorite snack for SO many reasons. They have basic ingredients, come out insanely damp and filled with flavor, Plus they pack some serious fiber and protein. Oh and something last thing, they’re significantly less than 100 calorie consumption per muffin!
I wish to explain a few important ingredients in these lovely muffins:
Oat bran: We decided that I needed to make a muffin without the flour and knew that oat bran would be a fantastic choice. I found some at Investor Joe’s near the cereal section, and it’s really now among the best fake ‘flours’ to bake with. The nutritional information is also wonderful!
Protein powder: Yes, I used protein powder in these muffins, but only a scoop! It certainly provides muffins just a little taste boost and also additional protein. I encourage you to definitely try it out, because I do think you’ll really enjoy it. I used 100 calorie vanilla protein powder, and my nutritional information within the recipe reflects that.
Bananas + Applesauce: We used two VERY ripe bananas for flavor and a bit of unsweetened applesauce instead of oil. YUM.
Greek Yogurt: Yes, more protein! I used non-fat greek yogurt for extra protein and to keep the muffins moist. I’m a huge fan of Chobani, Liberte, and Fage brands for my cooking recipes.
Wait around… what’s this? Sadly Nutella isn’t within the formula, BUT it’s totally lovely spread on top of a warm muffin. (That’s why I kept the inside of the muffins so healthy. HA.)
A teaspoon of Nutella has about 33 calorie consumption. And really, a teaspoon on these can be all you need for just some indulgence! Or if you want you can even add in delicious chocolate chips, berries, or nuts!
One very last thing: they are perfect for freezing; to reheat just microwave for a minute! Enjoy!

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (about 1/4 cup)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 large egg whites (or 1 egg)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 400 levels F. Apply 12 cup muffin tin with nonstick cooking aerosol or grease well with coconut oil
In a moderate bowl whisk collectively oat bran, proteins powder, baking powder and cinnamon; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine mashed banana, applesauce, greek yogurt, egg whites, and vanilla jointly until well combined and smooth. Add wet ingredients to dry substances and mix until just combined. Let batter sit down two moments to thicken a little. Divide batter consistently into 12 muffin cups and bake 15 minutes or until toothpick placed into center happens clean. Transfer to a wire rack to cool for ten minutes, then remove muffins from tin and place on wire rack to great completely.
Muffins are ideal served warm together with your beloved spread. Feel absolve to add in chocolates potato chips, berries, or nut products towards the batter!
Omg I have to try this! Coconut flour is also a great choice for healthy cooking but can be a small tricky to work with.
Okay We made a healthy homemade ‘Nutella’ and feel it would be criminal never to share, it was very easy and I actually enjoy it better than the real thing!!

I replaced the two 2 white eggs with 1 whole egg + 1/2 cup more of applesauce
We replaced the yogourth with vanilla soja milk
I actually used 1/3 cup of chocolate proteins (Impact Diet Whey from #myprotein)
